BREAKING: Connor McDavid Defies NHL Regulations and Stands Up Against Gary Bettman
Tonight, in the Edmonton Oilers pre-game warmup, Connor McDavid made a statement by taking a stand against Gary Bettman.
McDavid Sends a Clear Message Across the League
During the warmup, McDavid boldly used pride tape on his stick, despite the NHL's initial ban on it. Interestingly, the league took no action when players decided to break this rule.
McDavid now joins a growing list of players who've chosen to defy the NHL's stance on pride tape.
Considering the league's apparent reluctance to enforce rules that many already find absurd, perhaps it's time for the NHL to rethink its position. Allowing players to support causes could contribute to making the league a safer and more inclusive place.
