Ryan Nugent-Hopkins calls out the Oilers for their reaction to Connor McDavid's injury

The injury took place off of the opening faceoff. As you can see, McDavid went down awkwardly into the boards and it was one of those plays that fans knew was bad, right away. Eventually, McDavid got up under his own power and he immediately marched himself to the bench, where he was eventually taken out of the game for good.

From there, it was revealed after the game that McDavid would not accompany the team on its upcoming road trip. Instead, McDavid would be going back to Edmonton where he could get some medical care from his inner circle.

After the game, the media spoke to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who had some strong words for his teammates after their poor performance. As he pointed out, more guys need to start stepping up.

The Oilers are in disarray right now and things are not getting any better. If you are a fan of the team, you can't help but feel at least a little bit hopeless right now. Only time will tell just how bad the injury is.
