Montreal Canadiens Have Officially Terminated Prospects Contract

Nicolas Beaudin, a former first-round draft pick for the Chicago Blackhawks, reached a breaking point with the Montreal Canadiens system.

Recently with the Laval Rocket in the AHL, Beaudin felt discontent with his role on the team. Consequently, a mutual contract termination was agreed upon between Beaudin and the Canadiens, prompting him to explore opportunities with a new team.

Unfortunately, as of now, Beaudin hasn't secured a new contract or team, and he cleared waivers today.

This parting of ways follows a decent 2022-2023 season for Beaudin. However, as the Canadiens continued to bolster their prospect pool in Laval, Beaudin found himself on the outside looking in.

During his stint in Laval, Beaudin played 55 games in the AHL, tallying 2 goals, 29 assists, and 31 points. Additionally, his NHL appearances stand at 22 games, with 2 goals and 4 assists contributing to a total of 6 points.
