If you have been paying attention to the Montreal Canadiens, you know that they already have a ton of goaltenders in their system.
Overall, some might find it excessive. However, they are trying to find a permanent replacement for Carey Price. The franchise has been known for legendary goaltenders, and they want to find the next one. There is no telling where they will find such a goaltender, but the fans are yearning for one.
Today, the Canadiens took yet another step towards expanding their goalie horizons. Luke Cavallin has officially signed with the Laval Rocket on a two-way deal.
Cavallin played for the Toronto Maple Leafs's AHL affiliate last season. However, he only appeared in nine games. Before that, he was playing for the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League where he proved to be a pretty solid starter. Only time will tell whether or not he can develop into an NHL-caliber goalie.
