Yaroslav Askarov leaves the Nashville Predators in shambles with his latest decision
Yaroslav Askarov was the 11th overall pick for the Nashville Predators back in 2020 and has been considered as one of the best goaltending prospects in quite some time.
Over the past couple of years, Askarov has mostly played for the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL, where he has posted some formidable statistics. He has a total of nine shutouts with the team and has posted save percentages of 0.911 in back-to-back seasons.
However, there have been numerous trade rumors concerning Askarov as he believes he deserves a shot at playing NHL hockey. According to Kevin Weekes, Askarov has officially made those feelings known. The goalie has told the team he is not reporting to the AHL, and he officially wants to be traded.
