Tyson Foerster had a career year in Philadelphia last season, but unfortunately, the 23-year old is now set to miss months after a brutal injury.

The Philadelphia Flyers made some changes this off-season, bringing in Head Coach Rick Tocchet and young star Trevor Zegras, and as a result, they're off to a red-hot start, with fans excited about the present and the future of this team.
With a record of 14-8-3 through their first 25 games, the Flyers are in fifth place in the Metropolitan Division, just three points out of top spot, but now, they've suffered a brutal injury blow.

Tyson Foerster set to miss months of action

Following a season in 2024/25 when he posted 25 goals and 43 points across 81 games, former first-round pick Tyson Foerster has clearly taken the leap that the Flyers were hoping for.
This season, he has posted 10 goals and 13 points in 21 games played, but unfortunately, he's now set to miss significant time, with the team announcing that he's going to miss 2-3 months as a result of an upper-body injury.
The Flyers haven't revealed the details on the injury as of yet, but it was clear something was wrong as he limped off the ice on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins as he was struck by a devastating one-timer.
Given how productive Foerster has been over the past 18 months, he's a player that the Flyers can't afford to lose long-term, but with some other young players stepping up to produce this season, if they can stay afloat until they get fully healthy, this team could be a dark horse in the Eastern Conference this season.
