Anthony Mantha addressed the media from training camp for the first time since signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins this summer, as he prepares for the NHL preseason.

The veteran forward discussed getting settled into a new city, meeting the team, and preparing to hit the ice again.

Mantha Speaks From Training Camp

In a brief media scrum following an on ice sessions earlier, Mantha fielded questions from members of the media, where he discussed preparing for the new season with a new team.
"Everything's been good, obviously there's a lot of getting ready for the season, moving in, getting everything settled at home. That's kinda why I got here two weeks early, getting to meet everyone, go play golf with a couple of the guys to get to know them, and be ready for day one. You just knew it was gonna start pretty intense and it's been good." - Anthony Mantha

Mantha has been lining along the wing of Evgeni Malkin for just about the entirety of Pittburgh's training camp, which is a good indicator of where the winger may end up on opening night.
It's been fun...a couple days here of trying to figure out his tendencies...we found a little bit today and hopefully it keeps going throughout camp" - Mantha on playing with Evgeni Malkin

Recovering From Injury and Joining a New Group
Mantha also dove into his health status, coming off an injury this summer.
"I feel pretty good...I think it's kind a getting used to it a little bit more and able to make a couple plays a little quicker and moving my feet...it's gonna come.

To round out his media session, the forward spoke about coming into yet another new locker room as an outsider.
"I think it's just another room...I've done a couple these past couple years and I'm kinda getting used to coming in and not knowing many guys. It's a matter of time, at the end of the day we're all hockey players."

Mantha sure doesn't seem rattled coming into training camp, which should be a good sing of what's to come.
