Tonight, a new report from NHL insider Frank Seravalli has suggested that the Pittsburgh Penguins will look to trade newly acquired players Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak.

Within the last week, the Pittsburgh Penguins went out and made a blockbuster trade acquiring Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak from the Edmonton Oilers.
After landing both players fans and analysts started to speculate about what the future holds for both Skinner and Kulak beyond this season.
Now a new report has suggested that the Penguins could look to flip both Kulak and Skinner at the trade deadline for future assets.

Insider suggests the Penguins could look to move two players at the trade deadline

In a new segment on Frankly Hockey NHL insider Frank Seravalli divulged that depending on how the season goes the Penguins will consider flipping Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak.
Frank Seravalli: Re Penguins/Skinner/Kulak: Two...potentially flippable assets; they can get another 2nd for Brett Kulak...at the deadline - Frankly Hockey (12/12)
The Penguins have immense organizational depth in goal which could make Skinner expendable especially if he can net them good prospects or high draft picks.
As for Kulak he is a bit of a wildcard after becoming one of the better shutdown defensemen last season but struggling to find a role in Edmonton to begin this season.
Kyle Dubas to this point in the season has been steadfast in his desire to help the Penguins compete this season while also setting the team up for future success after Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin retire.
Trading away both Skinner and Kulak would provide significant future assets without jeopardizing the team's ability to win this season.
As the season continues, it will be interesting to see if Skinner and Kulak earn their place in Pittsburgh or are moved to a new home after a short stint.
