Sidney Crosby's NHL future has sparked major speculation, and Frank Seravalli now links him to the Canadiens, Avalanche, and Kings if he ever asks for a trade.
This off-season thus far has been very slow around the NHL, and as a result, speculation from Insiders has been very high, with Sidney Crosby becoming a massive talking point around the league.
Now, that future has become a little clearer, with top Insider Frank Seravalli revealing three landing spots for the Penguins captain if his mind on the future in Pittsburgh does end up changing.
Frank Seravalli: Re Sidney Crosby: I think there's been some teams, or a short list, Montreal, LA Kings, Avalanche, those are the teams have been talked about, but he hasn't shown any interest...in moving - Bleacher Report (Jul 15)
According to Seravalli, the three teams that Crosby would have interest in playing for are the Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings, three teams that have either been highly successful in recent years or have set themselves up for significant success moving forward.
At this point however, there's been no signs from Kyle Dubas, the Pittsburgh Penguins or Crosby himself that anything will be imminent, but when Crosby hits 38 years of age, he may see greener pastures elsewhere as the chance to push for one more Stanley Cup.
Ultimately though, these are three logical landing spots for Crosby, so if things do change, it will be incredibly intriguing to watch, but for now, there's very little reason to expect something to happen in the near future.
