Kris Letang requested trade to the Montreal Canadiens: Report
Kris Letang is someone who has been a huge fan-favorite in Pittsburgh with the Penguins, for a very long time.
After missing the playoffs, Letang reportedly told the Penguins that he wanted to go home and play for the Montreal Canadiens. For whatever reason, the tires were kicked on a trade, but the Habs decided to go in another direction.
Overall, the Habs are a team that is looking to get a whole lot younger. They don't necessarily want to add aging players to their core, and that is a valid enough reason not to make the trade. Clearly, Habs GM Kent Hughes is focused on the team's future, which has never looked brighter.
Do you believe Kris Letang would be a good fit for the Montreal Canadiens? Let us know in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
