Marc-Andre Fleury's Agent Hints at Return to Pittsburgh: Could He Play One Last Season?

Last season was the last of Marc-Andre Fleury's iconic NHL career, as he revealed before the season that he was retiring after over 20 seasons played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild.

However, he would go on to represent Team Canada at the 2025 World Tournament, and given his play over the past season, many believed that he could potentially come back for one more season.

Then, on Thursday, Fleury's long-time agent Allan Walsh posted a photo of Fleury in a Penguins uniform on social media captioned 'who misses this?', sending many into a frenzy as they speculated over what it could have meant.

He followed that up by re-tweeting it with the caption 'Buzzzzzzz...', once again having people wildly speculate over what this could mean, with some believing it could even be the tease of a return to Pittsburgh for one final season.

More likely than not, this may be the Penguins potentially announcing the retirement of the iconic No. 29 or announcing that Fleury has returned to the organization in another capacity, but given how good he looked in 2024/25, posting a 2.93 GAA and an .899 save percentage, the speculation remains.

Ultimately, only time will tell what Walsh was getting at with his cryptic social media posts, as we've heard very little about Fleury thus far over the summer, but with fans desperate for some news, the teases have got those in Penguins circles incredibly excited.
