The Penguins have suddenly won four games in a row, and with the post-season potentially in sight, we've got some updates on their major injuries moving forward.
Unfortunately there's still some major roadblocks to the team pushing for their spot in the post-season, with three key injuries being a part of that, with
Ryan Shea,
Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Tommy Novak all missing the teams last few games.
Now, Mike Sullivan has given updates on all three, and while it appears none are returning imminently, there's been some positive steps forward for their potential returns in the near future.
According to Sullivan, both Shea and Joseph were working on their own on the ice, which is a major step forward especially for PO Joseph, who was considered out indefinitely just a matter of days ago.
As for Tommy Novak however, he was considered day-to-day by the team just recently, with Sullivan confirming on Monday that he was not yet skating again and still working off the ice to get back.
While the updates overall were positive, expect no changes in the Penguins lineup moving forward as they look to continue their momentum against the New York Islanders on Tuesday night, and if they can claw closer and closer to a Wild Card spot in the East, they'll be hoping that all three of these players can get back and give them the depth they need to keep their run going.
