It appears that Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby won't face any further discipline after the scuffle vs. the Flyers last night, as per multiple reports.

The Pittsburgh Penguins found themselves in the middle of an uproar Tuesday when captain Sidney Crosby jumped into a fight during their 3-2 shootout defeat against the Philadelphia Flyers.
However, several reports have since indicated that the veteran center will not be facing any further discipline from the NHL.
Penguins reporter Josh Yohe of 'The Athletic' reported Tuesday night that the team does not expect Crosby to receive supplemental discipline.
Members of the team believed that sitting Crosby out for the shootout was "punishment enough" for his participation in the post-overtime altercation.
"The Penguins are not concerned about the possibility of Crosby being disciplined by the league for being involved in the postgame altercation," Yohe wrote. "A Penguins source argued that the ice crew was already on the ice, along with a number of players, and that the Zamboni doors had already been opened. Thus, there was no reason to think Crosby would be disciplined."

Sidney Crosby received a game misconduct penalty, which at times leads to a fine or suspension

Crosby was among a small clique of players who were handed misconduct penalties following the melee, which occurred when Flyers' forward Trevor Zegras delivered a hit on Penguins' winger Noel Acciari.
The Athletic's Flyers writer, Kevin Kurz, on Wednesday corroborated Yohe's original report, citing a league source to say that the NHL would not be providing any additional discipline for Crosby, making it 100% official.
"League source tells me Sidney Crosby won't receive any further discipline for coming off the bench, as some suggested might be the case," Kurz reported. "The sense was that things were calming down when Crosby came on the ice to talk to the ref, before Zegras set everything off again."
With the drama in their rearview mirror, the Penguins are looking to leave it behind and get back on track as they head into Thursday night's contest against the Minnesota Wild.
The team's top scorer with eight goals and 15 points in 11 games, Crosby's on-ice leadership is more vital than ever in sustaining Pittsburgh's terrific early pace.
