Panthers coach Paul Maurice admitted to reporters today that Penguins' Evgeni Malkin's work ethic and skill when they spent time together left him speechless.

Completing a five-game road trip, the Florida Panthers come home to face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET. With a record of 4-4-0, the Panthers are yet unbeaten at home, with a record of 3-0-0.
This road trip began on a rough note, as they lost the first four games before getting a hard-earned victory in a 4-3 decision over Boston.
A late shot by Carter Verhaeghe, which went in off Andrew Peeke with just 26 seconds left in a tie game, secured the win, which was Verhaeghe's 22nd game-winning goal.
There are a few storylines to watch for in this game. Sam Bennett will reach 700 games played in the NHL, but this will be game 297 played for him as a Panther.
Defenseman Seth Jones will face off against his brother, Caleb, for only the second time in both of their careers.
In goal, Sergei Bobrovsky will start with a record of 4-2-0, a 2.19 GAA, and a .914 save percentage. Against Pittsburgh, Bobrovsky has a record of 20-10-6 with a .914 save percentage.
The Penguins come to Sunrise with a record of 5-2-0 after defeating Vancouver 5-1 on Tuesday.
Captain Sidney Crosby made history as he passed Mario Lemieux for most points scored in team history, with Evgeni Malkin notching his 10th point of the season.

Paul Maurice spent a lot of time with Evgeni Malkin during the 2012 NHL lockout season in Russia

Paul Maurice, head coach of the Panthers, spoke about Malkin during a press conference today.
"I spent a little bit of time with Evgeni Malkin in Russia in the year that it was off, and I was amazed at how hard he worked. Because he didn't have to. He was just better than everybody else in the league."

"I was amazed by how hard he worked,» Maurice said of Malkin, who he coached in the KHL during the 2012-13 season. "How hard he worked in practice, he drove hard to be a great performer. He wanted to win, he wanted to score goals, and he wanted to drive."
Tristan Jarry will likely start in goal for Pittsburgh, with a record of 2-1-0, a 2.35 GAA, and a save percentage of .922.
Both teams are riding momentum heading into this game, making for a compelling showdown between a surging Pens team and a Panthers team that wants to extend a home unbeaten record.
