The Pittsburgh Penguins' terrible injury luck has continued today as the team has announced that veteran forward Justin Brazeau will miss this afternoon's game against his former team, the Boston Bruins.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have suffered some terrible luck lately, with captain Sidney Crosby being injured at the Olympics, followed by Evgeni Malkin being suspended for his actions against the Buffalo Sabres.
Now, the Penguins' luck has gone from bad to downright terrible as reports have confirmed that Pittsburgh will be without breakout forward Justin Brazeau.

The Penguins this afternoon made the formal announcement confirming that Brazeau is day-to-day and will miss this afternoon's contest.
Forward Justin Brazeau is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will not play today versus Boston.
With Brazeau out of the lineup, it is believed that Kevin Hayes will step into his place unless new arrival Elmer Soderblom is ready to go for this afternoon, which remains unlikely.
Brazeau, 28, will miss the opportunity to face his former team, the Boston Bruins who he spent four seasons with before signing with the Penguins this offseason.
Since arriving in Pittsburgh, Brazeau has found a new level to his game, becoming one of the best secondary scorers on the team through his 48 games played so far.
In those 48 games, Brazeau has 30 points, which is a career best for him by a significant margin.
With the Penguins looking to hold on to their Stanley Cup Playoff spot, they cannot afford to keep losing key pieces such as Brazeau, Crosby, and Malkin.
As more information is provided on Brazeau's injury and potential return for the Penguins we will pass the latest details along to you.
