Tonight's game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens has been delayed due to a car accident on a major highway in Pittsburgh.

Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins are set for a key matchup against the Montreal Canadiens two teams significantly outperforming expectations in the Eastern Conference.
Heading into the game the Penguins are coming off of back to back losses and will be without superstar center Evgeni Malkin who was recently placed on injured reserve.
With puck drop set for 7 pm players and staff were in route to the game when they were impacted by a sudden delay due to a major car accident on I-279.
This left several Penguins players stuck in traffic unable to get to the arena and now has reportedly caused the game to be delayed.

According to multiple sources including the Penguins themselves, the start of tonight's game will now be pushed back to 7:30pm to allow time for players and staff to arrive at the arena.
It remains unclear how many of the Penguins players were impacted by this accident but clearly it was significant enough to require a delay in the start of tonight's contest.
Hopefully, all of those involved in the accident are unharmed and the issue will be resolved soon.
As more information is provided on this situation and its impact on tonight's game between the Penguins and Canadiens we will pass that information along to you.
