Penguins' Lineup and Starting Goalie Revealed for Pivotal Clash Against Lightning
Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan has officially announced his lineup for tonight as the team takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning.
With just ten games left on their schedule, things are really starting to come down to the wire for the Penguins this year.
If the team wants to maintain any hope of making the playoffs, essentially every game from here on out is a must-win.
Currently, the team is six points behind the Montreal Canadiens for the final playoff spot, and they are behind four other teams that are also making their final push.
As a result, Mike Sullivan is doing his best to give his team their best chance of winning every game.
Tonight, his club will take on the formidable Tampa Bay Lightning and Sullivan has turned to his long-time goaltender
Tristan Jarry for the start.
Jarry has had a very up-and-down season this year even being demoted to the American Hockey League for a big part of it.
Since being recalled though he has been fantastic, posting a 4-1-1 record while surrendering just 15 goals on 197 shots faced.
A win tonight will keep the Penguins' season alive another day. While a loss wouldn't technically eliminate the team, it would make their chances of making it even lower than they already are, and substantially so.
So be sure to tune in tonight to see if Crosby and his teammates can keep it up one more time.
