With the month of January coming to an end fans and analysts have noticed that the Pittsburgh Penguins broke an impressive record over the last month.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been on a roll again and find themselves back firmly in the Stanley Cup Playoffs currently sitting second in the Metropolitan Division.
Heading into January the Penguins had put themselves in danger of missing the playoffs needing a major bounce back to get back in the race.
After acquiring Stuart Skinner and getting him settled in the Penguins went on the hot streak they were hoping to breaking a record in the process.

Penguins set franchise record after incredible January success

The Pittsburgh Penguins in January took home 11 wins and after some research it turns out that is the most wins that the team has ever gotten in January in the history of the franchise.
Penguins 11 wins are their most ever in the month of January.
The massive turnaround now has the Penguins back in the playoff and contender race heading into the upcoming 2026 Olympic Games break.
Currently, the Penguins sit at 84.6% chance to make the playoffs and a 5% chance of winning the Stanley Cup which nearly mirrors their predicted chances of make the playoffs at the beginning of the year.
The biggest key for the Penguins now will be staying consistent in their on-ice performance over the next several months to keep those odds high.
Now, Kyle Dubas and the front office just need to hope that Sidney Crosby and others heading to the Olympic Games make it back healthy.
