The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that defenseman Jack St. Ivany has been hurt in tonight's game against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena and will not be able to return for the rest of the night.

The Pittsburgh Penguins look like they are well on their way to picking up a valuable win on the road tonight against the struggling Vancouver Canucks, who have sunk all the way to the bottom of the Western Conference standings.
But the Penguins have lost defenseman Jack St. Ivany, who was hurt with an upper body injury and has since officially been confirmed as unavailable for the rest of the game per the Penguins PR.

St. Ivany's injury took place in the first period; he played only 2:54 before getting hurt.

The Pittsburgh Penguins Have Lost Jack St. Ivany Because Of Injury Against The Canucks

St. Ivany was taken with the 112th overall pick by the divisional foe Philadelphia Flyers, but he never once played a game in a Flyers sweater.
St. Ivany played college hockey for both Yale University and Boston College before signing as a free agent with the Penguins.
He started his professional career with the American Hockey League affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and would later make his NHL debut with the Penguins in 2023-24, getting an assist in 14 games.
Last year, he split his time between the NHL and AHL. So far this year, he's played in 16 games with the Penguins and has seven assists.
