Pittsburgh Penguins Unlikely to Move Star Forward, per Insider
NHL insider Josh Yohe has recently received some information that is leading him to believe that the Penguins will not be trading forward Bryan Rust.
How many of the players will be traded and how much will be the expected yield? Will he need to get the veterans' no-move clauses waived in exchange for trading one or several of them? Well, we may have clarity for at least one player.
"However, I sense that the Penguins have no plans of trading Rust anytime soon. I'm not sure they ever will. They'd like him to wear an 'A' someday. It wouldn't shock me if, when Crosby retires, Rust is the only teammate from his Stanley Cup days remaining in Pittsburgh."

Rust's no-trade clause expires on July 1st
As of July 1st, the Penguins will be free to trade with or without his permission. That said, however, there doesn't appear to be the feeling that there's any trade interest in the near future, if at all, out of Rust.
He's part of the top of the organizational corps of leaders and there's a real desire within the organization that someday has him wearing an «A» on his jersey.
Indeed, if and when
Sidney Crosby finally rides off into the sunset, it won't be a shock at all if Rust is the last of the old Stanley Cup crew remaining with the team.
He's a guy with a great set of experience, a great work ethic, and a leader's mentality. There is a feeling that the Penguins will treat him like a roster long-timer.
