Ryan Whitney makes bold Dominik Hasek comparison after Stuart Skinner shines in Pittsburgh

Stuart Skinner has been on fire since arriving in Pittsburgh and is now receiving comparisons to Hall of Famer Dominik Hasek.
The Pittsburgh Penguins made the surprising decision earlier the season to trade away starting goaltender Tristan Jarry bringing in Stuart Skinner from the Oilers instead.
At the time of the trade, it was seen as a downgrade in talent for the Penguins but a move for the future as Pittsburgh was able to acquire other pieces including a premium draft pick.
However, so far Skinner has been playing at an elite level proving to be an upgrade over Jarry and putting the Penguins in a spot as a true playoff caliber team.
With Skinner's surprising run of success in Pittsburgh fans and analysts are now suggesting he could have a career resurgence similar to Hall of Fame goaltender Dominik Hasek.

Stuart Skinner has turned into Dominik Hasek in Pittsburgh
Skinner like Hasek began to perform much better after a trade to a new home with Hasek going from Chicago to Buffalo and becoming a game changing talent.
While Skinner hasn't yet reached those heights he is on an absolute roll right now with incredibly high confidence that could lead the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Either way, GM Kyle Dubas has to be ecstatic with the move so far as Skinner has been everything the Penguins were hoping and more through his first month or so with the team.
