Sergei Murashov reflects on his first NHL stint in Pittsburgh: lessons learned and what he'll miss most
Tonight, after being sent to the AHL Sergei Murashov has reflected on his first NHL stint and what he will miss most about the league.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have an incredibly bright future in goal with young star Sergei Murashov completing a successful first stint in the NHL.
With veteran goaltender Tristan Jarry returning from injury, Murashov was assigned back to the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins where he will look to dominate once again.
After being sent down, Murashov spoke to the media about his success in the NHL and what he hopes to improve on during his latest AHL stint.

During his most recent interview, Murashov spoke about his progress this season and using his time in the AHL to continue laying a foundation to reach an elite level when he is called back up.
Main thing [is] that I have a really good foundation,» Murashov said. «... It's just more about different details, which are always showing up in the game. And you're always learning, always getting better. It's an endless process, and you're not going to be perfect. But my goal is not to be perfect, but being excellent.
With his first NHL stint coming to a close, Murashov admitted that he is going to miss one thing more than any other about playing for Pittsburgh and that will be the way NHL teams travel.
The way they travel, it's pretty comfortable.
Now, Murashov will head back to the long travel hours on the bus and the smaller arenas but the goal will remain the same continue learning to dominate the game in North America.
As he returns to the AHL it will be interesting to see how he adjusts and how long it will be before he earns another call-up to Pittsburgh.
