Pittsburgh Penguins captain and franchise icon Sidney Crosby was literally moved to tears during the team's 2016 Stanley Cup video tribute before today's game.

There aren't very many things that move professional hockey players to tears, especially someone with as typically serious a demeanor as Pittsburgh Penguins captain and franchise legend Sidney Crosby.
But before today's game against the bottom-dwelling New York Rangers, there was a special tribute to Pittsburgh's 2016 Stnaley Cup winning team, which was now almost 10 full years ago.
As the video highlights played on the Jumbotron at PPG Paints Arena, cameras caught Crosby getting a bit misty-eyed that eventually turned into full-blown tears.
If a player like Crosby can be moved to tears like that, just imagine what the fans in attendance were feeling.
Former Penguins coach Mike Sullivan, who led the Penguins to that Cup win, was on the bench for the Rangers as their new head coach.

The Pittsburgh Penguins Celebrated Their 2016 Stanley Cup Win Today In Pittsburgh Before Facing The Rangers

Before today's game against the Rangers, the Penguins held a special ceremony to honour the 2016 Stanley Cup winning team, which, in a few months, will have officially been 10 years ago.
The Penguins fought their way through the 2016 postseason, beating the divisional foe Rangers and Washington Capitals before beating the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final.
They faced the San Jose Sharks in the Stanley Cup Final, who were making their first ever appearance in the championship round.
The Penguins beat the Sharks in six games and hoisted the Cup in San Jose on June 12, winning their first of two straight Cups and their first since 2009.
