According to the list put together by the NHL PR department, Crosby is within 16 games of passing Mark Messier, Marcel Dionne, and, Gordie Howe in multi-point games.
With one more multi-point performance, Crosby will also pass Mario Lemieux and set the franchise record similar to the overall points record.
At 38 years old, it remains to be seen how long Crosby can play at a high level but if he has multiple seasons left in him Crosby could climb incredibly high on the multi-point list as well as many more lists.
As of now, Crosby is on pace to be the highest scoring player at age 38 in the history of the NHL.
Crosby's next opportunity to set franchise records in points and multi-point games will come tomorrow night against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
