It's no secret that Sidney Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins superstar, is destined for the Hall of Fame once he hangs up his skates. From his early days on the ice in Nova Scotia, Crosby was hailed as the next big thing, and he's certainly lived up to the hype.

Crosby added yet another milestone to his illustrious career during Pittsburgh's 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. With his 33rd goal of the season, Crosby tied the legendary Wayne Gretzky for the seventh-most goals scored with a single franchise.

This goal also marked the end of an 11-game goal drought for Crosby, showcasing his consistency even in the latter stages of his career. At 36 years old, the Penguins' captain has amassed an impressive 68 points in 67 games this season.

Crosby achieved this milestone with his 583rd career goal in his 1,257th game. For comparison, Gretzky accomplished the same feat with the Edmonton Oilers from 1979 to 1988, needing only 696 games to reach 583 goals. It's clear why Gretzky is revered as the greatest ever.
