Sidney Crosby is one of the oldest players in the NHL, and with so much youth in the league, he admits that he gets roasted on occasion as a result.
Whether it's gear, his warmup methods or simply anything, the 37-year old admits he hasn't changed much in his time in the NHL, which has clearly worked as he
continues to break NHL records into his late 30's.
Now, he admits there's a bit of a downside to not upgrading his gear as the years have gone on, as Crosby now reveals that his teammates, especially the younger ones roast him for it.
"I think everyone makes fun of my old stuff or my gear, but I do evolve."
This comes on the heels of the Penguins calling up a 20-year old and a 21-year old, who would have either not been alive or been a newborn when Crosby was drafted into the NHL, and with all of the new protective equipment or the new technology that has gone into gear in the NHL, it's easy to see why they'd love to roast him for it.
At 37-years of age, Crosby is showing no signs of slowing down, as he's on pace to pass 90 points again this season, and if the old gear that he uses can still lead him to that type of success on the ice, it's safe to say that he'll take a little bit of roasting to continue to be the superstar he's been since he arrived in the NHL.
