Sidney Crosby shares heartfelt tribute in honour of the late Bob Cole
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby paid tribute to the late Bob Cole, who passed away earlier this week at the age of 90. Crosby, like many Canadian hockey fans, grew up listening to Cole's iconic commentary.
With the Penguins out of the playoffs again this year, Crosby and his teammates have had extra time to reflect on their season. Crosby took this opportunity to create a heartfelt video tribute to Cole.

"The big thing with him is he always wanted to be about the game. And that being said, he still had really high expectations of himself and he wanted to do it perfectly. And I know that just his story of how he got into it and how he continued to want to learn and get better and improve speaks volumes about how long he did it for and how good he was at it.
You are the voice of hockey. And like so many, my family crowded around the TV to listen to your calls. When I think of hockey's greatest moments, it's you narrating them. I'll always cherish our friendship along with your wisdom and grit.
I'm grateful for all the chats, the time we spent together over the years, and countless memories you gave to so many.
