Utah Hockey Club Owner Ryan Smith Makes Major Announcement

This season has been a fun ride for the Utah Hockey Club, and while the team weren't expected to compete for a Stanley Cup Playoff spot, they find themselves within striking distance with less than a month to go in the regular season.

Given it's their first season, it was unclear just how much support this team would get, but thus far fans in Salt Lake City have been absolutely incredible, as they sold out early events for the team just to get a glimpse at their new NHL club, and now their loyalty has been rewarded.

For those fans that aren't yet tuning in to Utah HC+, Owner Ryan Smith has announced a massive new deal, allowing fans to watch every game of the regular season and the first round of the playoffs if they make it for just $1.

This isn't a normal thing for an owner to do in hockey, as most are currently working on rising ticket prices and getting as much out of their fans as possible, but this latest announcement shows that Smith is one of the best owners in American sports.

This comes on the back of an announcement earlier in the season that shocked fans, where Smith and the Hockey Club made the prices on food and drinks in the arena incredibly cheap, showing how much he cares for the loyal fans that made the Utah Hockey Club a reality in the first place.

It's unclear how long this generosity will go on for, but it appears as though Smith has always treated the fans of the Utah Jazz in the NBA well, and with the impending name change for the organization, it's safe to say that they'll continue to be one of the most intriguing and impressive franchises in the league.
