In a statement on the Canucks social media page, Joshua noted that he felt a lump over the summer and felt the need to get it checked out. That is when doctors made the quick diagnosis. Thankfully, Joshua was able to get surgery and the tumor on his testicle was removed.
Unfortunately, Joshua will not be able to be with the team at the start of the season. However, he wants to get back as soon as possible and will be on the ice once the doctors clear him to play.
In his announcement, Joshua urged everyone out there to go get checked as it is what ultimately helped save his life. He also thanked his doctors, family, and friends for all of their support during this difficult time.
