Alex Pietrangelo of the Vegas Golden Knights is building a reputation he'd likely want to avoid. Fans are upset after the defenseman delivered another controversial two-handed slash to an opponent in Vegas's recent game.
Pietrangelo and the Golden Knights faced off against the Seattle Kraken in the NHL's Winter Classic on New Year's Day. In the dying seconds of the third period, with his team trailing 3-0, Pietrangelo unleashed a harsh two-hander on Seattle's Brandon Tanev.This incident echoes a similar move Pietrangelo made during last season's playoff series against the Edmonton Oilers when he slashed Leon Draisaitl across the arm.
The social media response to Pietrangelo's latest slash was overwhelmingly negative.
