The NHL's Department of Player Safety has made its decision on Washington Capitals Tom Wilson, handing down a six-game suspension for a high-sticking incident involving Toronto Maple Leafs Noah Gregor.

The league shared the news through a social media post, stating,
"Washington's Tom Wilson has been suspended for six games for high-sticking Toronto's Noah Gregor.»

This ruling comes after an intense moment in the third period of the recent Capitals vs. Maple Leafs game. Wilson, caught in a scuffle along the boards in the Capitals' territory, inadvertently swung his stick, striking Gregor in the face.
The referees assessed Wilson a four-minute penalty for high-sticking as Gregor, visibly hurt, made his way to the bench for medical attention. This suspension marks another chapter in Wilson's controversial play history, sidelining him as his team pushes through the season.
