Intense Goalie Fight Breaks Out During A ECHL Game
Goalie fights are a rare sight in today's NHL, except when it comes to the intense showdowns on the ice in Alberta. While the big leagues may not see many, there's no shortage of competition in the minor leagues, and the rivalry between Indiana's two ECHL teams recently hit a peak.
«We got a goalie fight in Indy! Zach Driscoll and Brett Brochu shed the blocker and trapper! #ECHL #GoalieFight

In a spirited clash between Zach Driscoll of the Indy Fuel and Brett Brochu of the Fort Wayne Komets, the goalies left it all on the ice.
As the second period was winding down, with just 27 seconds left in the game and the Indy Fuel leading 3-1, the goalies decided to throw down, tossing helmets aside in the process.
With tensions high, the two goalies went at it, exchanging punches in an attempt to take each other down. While both threw their fair share, Driscoll seemed to land more punches than Brochu.
The referees only stepped in towards the end of the brawl when Brochu went for an uppercut, and Driscoll tried to counter.
In the end, it appears that Zach Driscoll of the Indy Fuel emerged victorious in the bout.
