Toronto Maple Leafs fan favourite hit with an injury
The Toronto Maple Leafs secured a significant win against the Dallas Stars last night (Oct. 26); however, it came at a cost. Defenseman Jake McCabe had to leave the game prematurely due to a lower-body injury.
McCabe's time on the ice was brief, only 10 seconds, as he sustained the injury early in his first shift.
After the game, Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe addressed the media, expressing uncertainty about McCabe's availability for the team's upcoming game.
In this season's seven games with the Maple Leafs, McCabe has yet to register any points. He has accumulated 12 hits but holds a minus-4 rating.
It's been a slow start to the season for him, and this injury adds to the team's challenges.
The duration of McCabe's absence remains uncertain, and the team will have to adapt in his absence.
