44-year-old coach from the Winnipeg Jets organization passes away
Sad news came from the hockey world today as the Winnipeg Jets organization has shared the passing of 44-year-old video coach Richard Bue.
Today news surfaced of the passing of former Manitoba Moose video coach Richard Bue at the tender age of 44.
Before joining the coaching staff in 2012–2013, Bue started his career with the Carleton Ravens in 2006–07 as an assistant equipment manager. In 2016, he would sign a contract with the Manitoba Moose, but even after leaving the Ravens community, his presence would continue to be vital.
By all accounts, Bue was one of the good people in hockey. While everyone involved in the game constantly preaches that there are no bad apples within the game, all those who were touched by Bue had nothing but good things to say about him.
Along with his sister Sandra, Richard is survived by his parents, Antonio and Maria Alice. We at Hockey Unplugged would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and everyone he impacted when he was at Carleton, the Winnipeg Jets, and the Manitoba Moose.
