The most highly anticipated prospect since Connor McDavid has been turning heads in preseason action. Chicago Blackhawks first overall pick from 2023, Connor Bedard has had his dancing shoes on this preseason, making defenceman look silly out there. The assists have been piling up but it was only a matter of time before he would score a goal.
That moment came last night in the final moments of the preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings. Unfortunately for Bedard and hockey fans the goal wasn't a highlight reel goal. Bedard's first preseason goal game with Detriot's goalie pulled. It iced the game for the Hawks ending in a 4-2 win.
After the goal Bedard is visibly annoyed and doesn't even want to acknowledge his goal with teammates. It's clear Bedard isn't like most other players, he's a winner and a true competitor. It's only a matter of time before the playoffs are back in the windy city.
