NHl training camps will open up later this wee. Before camps even open it appears that the Colorado Avalanche are already struggling with an injury in goal, to backup goalie Pavel Francouz. This has forced the Avalanche to turn their attention to the trade market for a potential replacement.
According to Adrian Dater, a Colorado Avalanche insider, the Avalanche have identified three leading candidates as a potential solution. Those 3 goalies are UFA Jaroslav Halak, Calgary's Dan Vladar and Montreal's Casey DeSmith.
Halak, 38, spent last season with the New York Rangers posting a record of 10-9-5 with a 2.72 GAA, a .903 save percentage and one shutout in 25 games.
