Every time a hockey player suits up for a game, they're putting their body on the line, whether that be from hits, falls or in last night's case, getting hit by pucks.

Last night in Ottawa as the Senators took on the Washington Capitals, Ottawa defenceman Artem Zub took a puck to the side of the face after an Alex Ovechkin shot was deflected; take a look.
Artem Zub heads to the locker room after getting hit by a puck.

Zub was down on the ice for a few moments while he was attended to by the Senators training staff. Shortly after, Zub left the ice for the locker room with blood on the ice behind him. Zub was unable to return for the rest of the game.
Hopefully this injury isn't as bad as it looks, but knowing the reputation of toughness from hockey players, it's likely Zub returns for the next game wearing a cage.
