Eastern Conference Stanley Cup contender interested in signing Vladimir Tarasenko
When the NHL's Free Agent Frenzy opened on July 1st, it appeared that Vladimir Tarasenko was one of the top free agent names on the market. After turning down multiple contracts at the advice of his previous agent, he still remain unsigned 3 weeks later.
However, according to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now that might not be the case for long. According to Richards the Panthers are very interested in adding Tarasenko with some of their unused LTIR space.
Tarasenko, 31, split last season between the New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. Tarasenko is expected to take a pay cut this season, but should continue to provide some much needed secondary scoring for a contending team.
