The Chicago Blackhawks were gifted a generational talent when they won the draft lottery and selected Connor Bedard first overall in last season's draft. Bedard isn't only now being lauded for his on-ice play, but the franchise altering effect he's having for the Chicago Blackhawks, who were in the dumps before his arrival.
According to reports from Greg Wyshynski of ESPN, the Blackhawks have received a huge increase in seasons ticket sales since drafting Bedard to a degree where their projected revenues have changed significantly. Take a look at the report below.
The Connor Bedard Effect 💰💰💰
The

tell ESPN that they have nearly doubled both full and partial season tickets sales. They are also now expecting 26% higher revenue growth over their initial projections for the 2023-24 season. My story:
The Blackhawks have already seen their revenue grow 25% over their whole season projections, and they've almost doubled seasons ticket sales.
Bedard is the next hot commodity in the NHL and people are clamouring to see the youngster in action. I don't think we'll see the United Center half full for many games this season. All because Connor Bedard is a Chicago Blackhawk.
Bedard being the next up-and-coming generational talent has hockey fans in Chicago and league wide clamouring to watch the Blackhawks. There we're some dismal attendance showings last season, but the Hawks' United Center will be much more full this season because of Connor Bedard.
