Member of last year's Toronto Maple Leafs' top 6 missing from training camp roster
With Training Camps underway, teams are starting to trim down their rosters to be salary cap compliant for the beginning of regular season. With so many teams so close to the cap every single decision will be put under a microscope. An absence from practice can start rumors around a team and that's exactly what has happened this morning for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Maple Leafs shared today's training camp groups and there was a notable absence from the list. The Leafs have broken today's rosters down into two clear groups, players expected to make the big club and players unlikely to make the team. But from that list missing is
Calle Jarnkrok.
As is usually the case fans began to immediately take notice of the absence.
While it's possible that this is just an off ice personal day for Jarnkrok, but Jarnkrok hasn't played in either preseason game for the team and hasn't been mentioned with those dealing with injury.
Since Treliving's arrival there have been some who have believed that Jarnkrok may be on borrowed time for the Leafs. Time will tell if that is the case, but this is certainly something to watch.
