Veteran Players Contract Has Been Terminated Due To Serious Allegations
In a surprising turn of events, a two-time Gagarin Cup champion in the KHL is facing the consequences of an alleged equipment theft, leading to his dismissal from the team.
Bogdan Potekhin, 31, who previously played his entire professional career in the KHL before joining the VHL last season, found himself in hot water with Krasnoyarsk Sokol.
The team, despite Potekhin's status as one of their top scorers, made the decision to part ways after management reportedly caught him stealing sticks from the team's locker room. The revelation came to light through video footage, as reported by Sport24.ru.
Potekhin, known for his contributions to Metallurg Magnitogorsk's Gagarin Cup victories in 2014 and 2016, now faces an uncertain future after this unexpected and unexplained incident.
