Amazon Prime reveals release date for new docuseries that follows NHL superstars
Amazon Prime and the NHL have been working together quite a bit over these last few years and we have even gotten spoiled with Monday Night Hockey.
However, it seems as though Amazon Prime has been working on a plethora of projects involving the league. If you know anything about other sports like the NFL and even Formula 1, you have probably noticed the Netflix-produced in-season docuseries model. F1 has it with "Drive To Survive" and the NFL has it with series like "Quarterback." Now, it seems like Amazon is giving the NHL something similar.
According to Chris Johnston, fans will be able to watch "FaceOff: Inside The NHL," as of October 4th. For now, there are a lot of details that are unknown surrounding this series. For instance, fans do not know whether or not every episode will be released right away or if it will be weekly.
Whatever the case may be, there is no denying that this will be intriguing. Fans are very excited to find out which players will be featured. One has to assume some of the league's best players would take part. That is the only way you can feasibly promote the league to a wider audience.
Hopefully, the show is entertaining and isn't full of fluff. The NHL has had a marketing issue for years, and now is the time to change that and bring hockey to millions more people.
