Former NHL star Andrew Shaw is going through a horrible ordeal involving his brother Josh Shaw, a construction worker who helped renovate the legendary Wrigley Field.
In an Instagram post recently, Shaw revealed that his brother has been battling a bizarre illness. He has gone to many doctors and has not been given a steady diagnosis. There is no cure right now, and his family is simply looking for answers. In the Instagram post below, Shaw noted that there is now a GoFundMe available online that people can donate to if they so choose.
"Since 2022, my brother Josh has been battling a relentless illness, facing numerous diagnoses with few answers and little hope for a cure. As a proud and private person, it hasn't been easy for him to ask for help. Yet, despite his reluctance, he's reached a point where we can finally address the many requests from friends and loved ones asking how they can support him.
Josh's struggle has been incredibly tough, and though family has stepped in to help, a long-term solution requires more than family support alone. If you're moved by his story and are able to contribute, your generosity would make a world of difference."
