EC-KAC says Jordan Murray collapsed in the 18th minute, lost vital signs, and is stable Wednesday morning.

KURIER first pushed the frightening report, and the club's update confirmed the worst part of it, this was not a routine stoppage or a minor scare.
Murray, 33, is a Canadian left-shot defenseman under contract for 2025-26, and his club page lists him as a regular on the EC-KAC blue line.
Before Tuesday, he had chipped in 3-4-7 in ICEHL play and another assist in Champions League action, solid second-pair production for a defender who moves pucks cleanly.
That matters in hockey terms, but only after the human part. Right now, the only stat that counts is stable.
"Jordan Murray collapsed without any external contact. Doctors had to perform ten minutes of CPR. The Canadian is now in the hospital."
The game against Fehervar was abandoned with EC-KAC up 1-0, and the league has already pulled the next two scheduled playoff dates off the board.
That tells you how serious this is. Playoff brackets can wait when a room has just watched a teammate fight for his life.

Jordan Murray leaves EC-KAC facing bigger questions

Fans and analysts feel the same thing here, hockey suddenly looks very small, and nobody should apologize for saying that out loud.
EC-KAC thanked the doctors, emergency physicians, and paramedics whose fast work got Murray transported and treated in Klagenfurt. That response changed the story from tragedy to hope.
For the team, the on-ice fallout is obvious whenever games resume. Murray is a calm outlet on breakouts, a steady defender on retrievals, and the kind of blue liner who helps keep playoff chaos from turning into panic.
For the next game, tactics come second to emotional recovery. Legs come back fast in March, clear heads usually do not.
Wednesday brought the best update available, stable condition and a little space for belief. That is where this story should stay until Murray gets the next win.
