NHL award Hart Trophy to the league's best player

Every year, the Pro Hockey Writers Association members vote to determine the National Hockey League's Most Valuable Player, who is then given the National Hockey Leagues Hart Memorial Trophy. This year's nominees were Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, and Connor McDavid.

Having played 76 games, Connor McDavid scored 132 points to lead the Edmonton Oilers. That includes 100 assists and 32 goals.

For the Colorado Avalanche, Nathan MacKinnon skated in all 82 games, tallying 51 goals and 89 assists for 140 points.

With 144 points, Nikita Kucherov lead all players in the National Hockey League. The Tampa Bay Lightning's captain scored 44 goals and made 100 assists.

The Hart Memorial Trophy is awarded each year to the National Hockey Leagues Most Valuable Player voted on by members of the Pro Hockey Writers Association

This Year the Hart Memorial Trophy is awarded too, Nathan MacKinnon.
