Zach Fucale is a name you probably remember thanks to his World Junior Hockey Championship performance with Team Canada from back in the day.
Fucale was a second-round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens, but he never panned out in the league. A couple of years ago, he got in some games with the Washington Capitals, but that is where he is NHL experience begins and ends. He has mostly played in the AHL and ECHL, however, he now plays for Chelyabinsk Traktor of the KHL.
This past week, Fucale set the league ablaze as he ended up making one of the best saves you will ever see. After being caught out of position, Fucale dove and stuck his glove out to swipe the puck out of mid-air.
So far, in three games this season, Fucale is 2-1 with one shutout, a goals against average of 1.36 and a save percentage of 0.955. Needless to say, he is doing pretty well for himself right now, and we wish him the best of luck for this upcoming season.
