Former Penguins defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok has been claimed off waivers by an Eastern Conference rival, the Boston Bruins.

The NHL waiver wire saw plenty of movement Tuesday, with several teams making quick decisions as rosters continue to shift.
The Boston Bruins claimed defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok off waivers from the Dallas Stars, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Kolyachonok, who previously spent time with the Pittsburgh Penguins, gives Boston another option on the blue line as the season moves along.
The St. Louis Blues were also active, claiming winger Jonatan Berggren from the Detroit Red Wings. Friedman reported that both players were placed on waivers just one day earlier, underscoring how fast circumstances can change around the league.

The player that the Canucks placed on waivers today

Vancouver made a more emotional move today. CHEK's Rick Dhaliwal reported that the Canucks placed 24-year-old forward Arshdeep Bains on waivers, a significant moment for a player who became a local favorite in a short time.
Bains, a Surrey, B.C. native, was one of general manager Patrik Allvin's first signings after taking over the Canucks' front office in 2022.

How Arshdeep Bains showed he has potential

The undrafted forward earned opportunities through strong AHL play and began this season on the opening-night roster under head coach Adam Foote.
He made an immediate impact with an assist in his first game and reliable penalty-kill shifts, but his role steadily declined. Reduced ice time and several healthy scratches followed.
Bains has one goal and five points in 26 games this season and remains signed through next year with a $775,000 cap hit.
