Gabriel Landeskog has had plenty of great news as of late, and after his NHL return, he's announced some more life changing news.
The Colorado Avalanche may have fallen in Game Three on Wednesday night, but in the process they got some incredible news, with the return of captain Gabriel Landeskog, who took the ice in the NHL for the first time since 2022.
In his first shift since 2022, Landeskog ran over former teammate
Mikko Rantanen, and while he had minimal impact on the game after that, it was still an incredible night for the Avalanche captain, whom many doubted would ever play in the NHL again.
After the game, Landeskog was clearly overcome with emotion, and when he was asked to address the situation, he started talking about his children, namely noting that in the three years he's been out, they doubted if he even plays hockey.
«They've probably been thinking I've been lying this whole time, that I do play hockey.»
At the end of his comments, he also revealed some incredible news, announcing that this summer, he and his partner are expecting their third child, which is more good news for one of the best people in the sport of hockey.
Landeskog has had to fight incredibly hard since winning the 2022 Stanley Cup to get back to full health and to take the ice again, but now that he has, things must be getting back to normal.
Now however, he's got a new normal with a third child on the way, but after how hard he's worked and what a great person Landeskog is, this is certainly great news and couldn't have happened to a better person.
