Patrick Laine trade update will leave this fanbase in shambles

Patrick Laine is on the trading block and this has led to plenty of reports about his status, and what is going to happen next to the NHL star.
One team that has been wrapped up in Laine trade rumors is the Montreal Canadiens. This is because Laine was supposedly in Montreal briefly, and some thought it was a meeting with Kent Hughes.
In a new report from The Mug NHL, renowned Habs reporter Eric Engels made it clear that it is laughable to think Laine will end up in Montreal. As the story goes, they have very little interest.
Since joining the league in 2016, Laine has a total of 204 goals as well as 184 assists for a total of 388 points. He has the potential to be a point-per-game player, but that will be entirely up to his effort. Hopefully, he can get things on track heading into next season.
Did you think that the Montreal Canadiens would be able to get Patrick Laine? Let us know in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
