Get ready for an electric night on February 25th as Patrick Kane makes his return to the United Center, facing off against the Chicago Blackhawks with the Detroit Red Wings.

Adding to the excitement, this game coincides with the retirement ceremony for Blackhawks legend Chris Chelios, who'll see his jersey raised to the rafters.
Anticipating the event, Kane shared,
"It'll be fun to go back there on February 25th. Chelios' jersey going up and the first game back on the road, so it'll be a fun night."

When questioned about his emotions on returning, Kane responded with his trademark honesty,
"I have no idea. I've always played with a bit of a chip on the shoulder, so hopefully I have a little bit that night and can play a good game and help the Wings win."

Expressing his desire to leave an impact on the scoreboard, Kane added,
"It would be fun to score a goal or have a couple of points, whatever it is. Just to play well against them."

Reflecting on the offseason, Kane revealed he had hoped for a call from the Blackhawks about a potential return, saying,
"Yeah, I mean, I never really knew, right? Especially after that first pick, I was like, OK, maybe they'll try to bring, even like Tazer or myself back."

"I know when I was a young guy, it really helped having some older guys around like Robert Lang, (Martin) Havlat, Yanick Perrault and Patrick Lalime, guys like that. Obviously, we had some young guys coming up that were pretty special players, and that made it pretty easy on me, too. It seemed like they wanted to go in a direction where they were going to bring in some different type of veterans. Yeah, it's what it is. Good for them. You don't think about it too much."

Despite recognizing the change in direction for the Blackhawks, Kane remains focused on contributing to the Red Wings' success and delivering a memorable performance in his return to Chicago.
